Bud's Broiler Baton Rouge still closed for Thanksgiving?

I went to Bud's yesterday to pick up some burgers for the family and it was closed with a sign in the door saying closed for Thanksgiving. Is it just me or is it a little late to still be closed for Thanksgiving? Is there something else going on here?

Franchise owner is in some legal issues with corporate. She owns that one and the one by city park in New Orleans

That one is terrible anyway.
The first, last and only time I went to that location, the guy working the grill was flipping and pulling the burgers off with his bare hands, wiping his hands on the back of his pants, then adding all the toppings.
Topped off the presentation by wiping the sweat off his brow, then proceeded to flipping more burgers with his hands.
I love Buds, but will never go to that one again.

Her suit claims Ziegler later sold her on the prospects of developing a new location on Nicholson Drive in Baton Rouge. The restaurant opened in June, but in her suit, Prince alleges the franchise agreement was based on “false representations and omissions.” As a result, the suit states, the Nicholson location “has been hemorrhaging money.” Prince blames Ziegler for “mishandling the financial affairs” of the company and cites unfair and deceptive business practices in its franchising agreements.

Well it was good to have one in BR while it lasted.

People didn’t want to wait 25 minutes for a mediocre burger in a crappy space that had flies all over? I’m shocked

Just open a burger joint and sell the same stuff. You can find knock recipes for their sauce online.
Call it Baw’s Burgers. The OT would bankroll it.
