Just happened to stumble upon one of these in a N. Louisiana Brookshire's recently.

What a deal... It's virtually a no frills 22" Weber Kettle with ash dump for $60.

To my amazement I couldn't find one single image if this grill or one retailer selling this grill online.

It seems it's really only a local, in person discovery. Cooked on it tonight. Good lump charcoal bottomed out the thermometer at 600 within minutes. Should be a steak cooking machine.

Anybody else ever seen or used one of these? The quality seems pretty good, too, and at essentially half the cost of comparable Weber.

This thing is great for the Lake, camps, etc. Where you don't want to drop hundreds on a good grill.

A comparable Weber is $99 at Lowe's.

Spend $99 on a Weber kettle that will last you 15+ years or spend $60 on some knockoff that will be rusted out by next summer at which point you will buy another shitty grill.

It’s expensive to be that cheap.

Does it seem sturdy? Does it seal well? How thick are the walls?

Others are wrong weber kettles are 150 at home depot. 200 if you get the one that holds the lid for you. Seent it two days ago

It would appear you are wrong. The Weber with the better damper and better, removable ash catcher is 150.

OP specifically says "no frills Weber" and you're comparing it to the premium kettle to make it look like a better value? The $99 Weber is a better grill and a better long term buy.

I'd buy a used Weber off of craigslist.

Not trying to make it look like anything just asked some very basic questions. Never heard of a Bubba burger much less seen one to judge whether or not it's worth anything. Might be better quality altogether who knows. Not me. Not you.

The quality is actually pretty good for a $60 grill. The lid is not 1/4" steel or anything, but neither is a Weber.

I also have an older Weber Kettle laying around and it may be a touch thicker metal, but not by much at all. The Bubba grill is damn near identical in quality from what I can tell.

The Weber is also not the deluxe model, though.

If the Bubba burns out or rusts out in a year, it obviously wouldn't have been worth it at all, but I couldn't pass up trying it at just $60.

All I know is that thing got way hotter than my green egg in way less time. Granted it didn't hold the heat like the egg, but then again nothing really does like what is essentially a ceramic oven.
