What are the F&D boards thoughts on butcher paper wrap vs foil boat on a pellet? Also what temp do most wrap or boat? Me personally I have always paper wrapped at 155/160 dependent on bark.. I’m no pro and never tried on a pellet until today

I use a pellet smoker and I wrap in butcher paper when the bark is right and then put in a disposable aluminum pan until it probes like butter.
Use a pan because I hate to lose all that juice.

I butcher paper wrap once it gets passed the stall, usually 170ish, then foil wrap once I pull it off the grill to rest. As mentioned, hate to lose the juice.

I used to always do butcher paper, but the last 3-4 I’ve done the boat method and been pleased with the results

Same here. Boat is best of both worlds. Speeds up the cook without turning the bark to mush.
