what was the place on Florida, right across from the old Bon Marche mall that was a chili/hot dog joint ? it eventually turned in a reprisal of Hoppers ..

Before that--Uncle Ben's Fried Chicken. (on the staff's red t-shirts: "Uncle Ben's Breasts Are Best!") Place was pretty nasty, but the chicken was stupid good.
Also, the Romanos on North Boulevard had some rollin' fried chicken too. It was demolished for the new overpass.

my dad and i used to go to mickey's gold nugget before lsu basketball games when i was little .. i used to love those steaks .. or we would go have a burger at round the corner ..

The Original Happy Note - The best drinks in town!!
The Original Uncle Earls - I can still smell the cypress.
Kingfish (next to Uncle Earls) - 99 cent concerts where I saw the likes of The Police, Eddie Money, Edgar Winter, Head East, etc.
LaRouge Gardens - Home of the original Don Pedigo Rib Eye.
Peking Gardens - Mai Tai or Zombie?
The Zoo - boom boom boom.
Wesley's - The very 1st Po-boy and Pizza I ever ate.
Shakey's Pizza - Why hasn't anybody else copied their concept?
Pappa Joe's - The hardest rock joint in the history of BR.
