Has anyone mentioned Po Folks on Florida ? how about:

Bonanza
Ponderosa Steak House
Western Sizzlin Steak House
The Sizzler

what was the place on Florida, right across from the old Bon Marche mall that was a chili/hot dog joint ? it eventually turned in a reprisal of Hoppers ..

Second that emotion on Mickey's Gold Nugget. Steak Diane!

Before that--Uncle Ben's Fried Chicken. (on the staff's red t-shirts: "Uncle Ben's Breasts Are Best!") Place was pretty nasty, but the chicken was stupid good.

Also, the Romanos on North Boulevard had some rollin' fried chicken too. It was demolished for the new overpass.

Weekends Dance Club - The baddest dance club ever in BR!!!

Tiger's Lair - Upstairs in Apt. Comlplex in Tigerland.

The Original Happy Note - The best drinks in town!!

The Original Uncle Earls - I can still smell the cypress.

Kingfish (next to Uncle Earls) - 99 cent concerts where I saw the likes of The Police, Eddie Money, Edgar Winter, Head East, etc.

LaRouge Gardens - Home of the original Don Pedigo Rib Eye.

Peking Gardens - Mai Tai or Zombie?

The Zoo - boom boom boom.

Wesley's - The very 1st Po-boy and Pizza I ever ate.

Shakey's Pizza - Why hasn't anybody else copied their concept?

Pappa Joe's - The hardest rock joint in the history of BR.

The Sports Page - Black leather skirts and rock and roll.

And, at 2AM when everyone would yell, "CROSS DA RIVER"!!!!!!!!!
