Anyone have a good recipe for these, haven't had them since I was a kid. Not sure if my mom used boiled shrimp or raw and also not sure what to serve them with...I just remember eating them with a brown roux gravy.

Shrimp boulettes
I've used a recipe similar to this, this one has pics to make it easy.
We used to eat them with tartar sauce or on the side of white beans and rice. I totally forgot about these little things. I may make some tonight.

I prefer to use brown shrimp when I make them. This is my Pawpaws recipe, very simple but very good and easy to remember.
1 small potato peeled
1 small onion
4-5 Green onions
2 lbs peeled shrimp
1 TBS creole seasoning or more
Depending on how wet your mixture is you may want to add some plain bread crumbs, just enough to soak up the water. Maybe a 1/4-1/2 cup
Oil for frying
Run your potato and onion though a food processor and grind till fine. Add your shrimp and creole seasoning and process to a paste. You can at this point either form them into patties and fry or drop them with a scooper into the grease. Fry at 325-350 for 8 minutes if you use a scooper 4-5 minutes if you make patties. Drain on a wire rack. Serve with some white beans and rice.
