There were allot of different vendors there this past year?

From what I was told, it's a pretty big event. Many of the big vendors and they sell a selection of their products, not just a sample. It takes place in April, so we'll have to watch as it gets closer.

I've gotta agree with you about their boudin. Like the plate lunches. I've never had the cracklins. But the boudin...much to be desired, especially with all the pub it seems they get.

Before he started mass producing for sale to grocers he was the KING ! But I agree w/ all the posters who said Poche's isn't anything special any longer. Now, c1994, hands down champ !

EARLY'S grocery in Scott is VERY UNDERRATED. I saw the mention of their smoked, but their regular can hold its ground w/ Don's & Billy's, forget about the Best Stop.

ETA; Don's had their 20th anniversary party yesterday in Scott, they were a 'little' busy !

There is no need for the big boys to enter. they already have their names and reputations established. All it does it put their names on the line for the new guys to try to beat down, and if they do, well...can say my boudin was the best out of Nunu, Dons, Best Stop.
I've tried T Boys, Billy's and Best Stop. Hard choice tween T Boys and Billy's- liked both a lot. Best Stop ain't even in the race imo. Not close. Tasted more like a rice dressing.

T-boys
Nunus
Billys

That's my top 3 with all the rest quite a ways behind.
