Yes. Went there yesterday for my tailgating meeting. I had a good time. But the people trolling here that work at the Chimes will tell you how bad it is.
Funny, a guy had a Chimes work shirt on, and he was drinking there!
All in all, I had a good time. It was good experience; and that is all that matters
Do you work for Bottle and Tap? Or perhaps, an owner?
The reason people mention chimes is because it is right down the street from B&T, and chimes East sometimes gets some awesome beers. (However lately, their beer selection has gone to shite).
Just looking at that tap list, it wouldn't inspire me to stop there. Granted, i don't really go out at all anymore with the being a relatively new dad. If i go out, i'll be heading to CBD. But me going out to a bar is like a once in 6 months thing.

That taplist is basically Chelsea's, without the great food, cool vibe, and walkable district location

No, I don't work there. I don't even live anywhere close to there. Just was the place we met at to discuss financials for the season.
At any rate, I enjoyed my time there. And was wondering if anyone else had been there.
I got tired of the Chimes long ago; and Chelsea's is a 30 minute drive from Coursey. Then again, I don't get out as much as I used to either.

If you had a good time that is all that matters, but the draft list is kinda bad.

I just got into the craft beer about a year ago. So, my experience is limited. I think they had several on draft, but I did have 4 Brooklyn Blasts in a bottle!
The bottle menu was a mile long btw; and I made it all the way to "B" before ordering the Blast ($5 or $6 dollars); which I thought was a pretty good deal.
Anyway, I thought maybe I had found a new place and wanted to mention it. Thanks ya'll

Thanks for the info. Really didn't know much about it prior to this thread. I'd be interested in seeing there bottle list.
I have found that stocking a bunch of bottles often leads to old beers. The cove and Chimes are both guilty of keeping bottles in their cooler way too long, which is why when i go to chimes or the rare time i'm at the cove, i only look for draft, unless it's a style that bottle conditions well.
But i do like the smaller tap amounts. Too big of a tap list leads to old beers and tap lines. Not to mention gives me too many options to stare at while trying to make a decision.

Also, every beer bar in BR will get scrutinized. Some deserving, some not. Hell CBD got shite when they first opened, something about a shitty view of the parking lot, and the lights being too bright.
If B&T is worth it's salt, they will overcome this. They do need to modernize their tap list if they want to compete as a beer bar. That tap list is pretty terrible. I don't expect them to be able to get kegs of Ghost or anything, but get rid of the shiner stuff and the cider, and throw in something delicious. Hell, throw in a keg of Blast. Throw in a sour if they can.

You have 9 tap handles, so i'd have 3 or 4 of those rotating. Keep one for seasonal. This is how i'd setup a tap list based on what is locally available. This isn't necessarily what i drink, but more of being able to sell to joe schmo off the street and the craft beer nerd.
1) Parish Canebrake
2) Great Raft Commotion
3) Founders Porter
4) Lagunitas IPA or Little Sumpin Sumpin
5) Great Raft Southern Drawl
6) Rotating - local (depends on availability, Ghost in the machine, Grace and Grit, At Arms length, Old Mad Joy, Tin Roof Parade Ground Porter, other limited release locals)
7) Rotating - local (depends on availability, Ghost in the machine, Grace and Grit, At Arms length, Old Mad Joy, Tin Roof Parade Ground Porter, other limited release locals)
8) Rotating - local (depends on availability, Ghost in the machine, Grace and Grit, At Arms length, Old Mad Joy, Tin Roof Parade Ground Porter, other limited release locals)
9) Rotating Seasonal - Right now i'd be thinking Oktoberfest, and then in mid to late October through November a good pumpkin beer. Winter look for local stouts, barleywines. Spring and summer look for fruited wheats, golden ales, etc...)
And maybe switch out one of the taps for a sour if you can get them.

The perfect way to ruin a good vibe.
I agree. Especially in a small place like that. I have no problem with 8 taps, but live music in a place like that would be a conversation killer.
ETA: I don't think there is any need not to rotate 100% of the taps - especially since you only have 9 taps there. It's a craft beer bar. Just make sure you have a mild lager on tap all the time and rotate everything else. Have tap takeovers a couple of times a month. With craft beer, an ever-changing taplist is a good thing.

Live music is outside on the patio, at least that what the red head said.... Also, it's not a bad beer menu. Taps are on the short side, but they have some Oskar blues, squatters and a few others in cans and bottles. Like I said earlier, the happy hour from 3-6 isn't bad. Half price everything in the bar. shite I drank blonde bombshell for $3 a can. That shite is $13 a 6pk in the store.
I like it cause it's close to my office.
