Went up to Boston this past week. Was extremely impressed with everything. Lobster rolls were the main attraction but had some fantastic food outside of that as well
Paulies. Hot 9.7. Cold 9.6. Loaded with lobster. $24 a piece. Best bang for the buck lobster roll wise. Chowdah was absolutely stuffed with clams too. Think it was $7 for the cup. Extremely well priced all around. Was supposed to have 7oz on each roll but I think the cold had close to 9-10oz
Saltie Girl. Hot 9.5. Cold 9.2. $38 a piece. More to come from saltie girl…
Eventide. $19. On a bao bun. 8.4 hot. 8.3 cold. The bun may have been the best but very small portion of lobster. 3 bites and gone
Cussers. $38. Really good, but for the price not enough lobster. Only got the hot. 9.4 taste. 8.5 with price.
Cussers roast beef. Bbq sauce with pepper jack cheese. Little under seasoned. $12. Not sure id get it again. 6.4/10.
Bardo’s bar pizza. 8.6 on the el pres scale. One of the best pizzas I’ve had
Back to Saltie girl for the rest of that dinner….
In order of pics..
Ipswich Clams w/ tartar sauce, Mango Mezcal Cocktail
Dry Aged Steak Tartare. Quail egg, truffle aioli, reggiano, brioche bites
Torched Salmon Belly. Avocado, apple, cucumber, miso glaze
Fried Endeavor Prawns. Spicy red curry, green garlic, fried rice
Tartare mixed up..
Modern pastry. Ricotta stuffed cannoli with pistachios
More from Modern
Taiwan cafe late night in Chinatown
Salt and pepper fried soft shell crab
Taiwanese pork dumplings
Taiwanese pork and chicken noodles

Just got back a couple of weeks ago. Lobster roll at Row 34 was excellent-but pricey. $42. Got one at Quincy Market that was cheaper, but it was just ok.
Got the cannoli at Mike’s. I got a peanut butter one. I thought it was just ok. But man, that place prints money. I’d like to be Mike for a week.

I’d love nothing more than to be able to stay for another week and strictly go around eating more lobster rolls. I put on 9 lbs and not even mad about it

All looks great. No carbs would make this trip hard on me.

The answer is D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches. Two small rolls (New England split top) for $33 or one for $18.

Damn man. I think you had more lobster rolls in a week than I’ve had in Boston in my 10 years living there.
Glad you enjoyed the trip.

Unfortunately not. Kept saying I was going to and just never got around to it. Woulda liked to have another day or two.

Arse alter? Nah, Arse would be stuffing 7/11 hotdogs not lobster rolls.

What’s the price of lobster these days? I didn’t realize a lobster roll was $40 even with inflation. Aren’t they still getting lobsters for like $10?
Outside of that, food looks awesome and great report!

Cheapest you would typically see is around $26, highest around $40.
I have no clue where anyone is getting lobsters for $10 but if you find a place selling them that cheap let me know.
