What's good? How is the bisque? Can they fry well? TIA

I love the bisque. I get quarts to bring home for the freezer sometimes. They will also sell you extra stuffed heads if you ask.
My standard meal is a cup of bisque and crabmeat au gratin. The au gratin is delicious and loaded with crabmeat. I almost went last week, but couldn't work it out.
I've never had anything fried from there as far as I can recall.

It's interesting that every time I've had the au gratin at Bon Ton, the crabmeat has been beautiful huge lumps, no matter the time of year and it's not pasteurized. On the other hand, Galatoire's hasn't had crabmeat in quite some time. In fact, they got it for the first time on Good Friday. Friends of mine have been there twice in the past 2 months and both times there was no crabmeat. One of them called the restaurant and asked about it. She was told they can't find a purveyor with it. Seemed odd to me when other restaurants get it.

Just as plausible as a poboy joint saying they can only do an oyster poboy one day a week due to a "supply" issue.
I'm sure we'll get issue, turtle soup, and au gratin. Not sure what else. Thanks, all.

I've had a fish dish, but that's been a long time ago. Folks who have been with me have enjoyed them, though, and the etouffee.
Grab some bisque to bring home.
I tasted the crawfish bisque at Brigtsen's last week and it was delicious. It was a pureed bisque, BUT with the Cajun bisque taste rather than cream based. It also had whole tails and boulettes. Really good. The whole meal was great.
