Get water with a peeled onion, a bay leaf or two, and a garlic clove, to boil
Throw that live crustacean goodness in there
Once it begins to boil again, count ten minutes
Pull
Cool
Crack, shell, EAT

They need to cook and soak a few minutes longer than crawfish. Keep them on ice before you drop them in the pot and the claws will stay on better.

I believe they sink before the time is up.

Season the water as you like, to taste.

Ice the crabs

Bring pot to a boil

Drop in cold crabs, and bring back to a slow boil for 5 minutes. Cut the fire and soak for 15 minutes.

Taste a leg, claw, etc. soak longer if needed.

Also, put them in your basket so that the white part (bottom) faces up. It allows air to escape and water to soak inside the body.
