Bon Temps is moving into the former Blue Dog on Pinhook.

I've heard good things about Bon Temps, but haven't been.

Most of their food is awesome. Tuna and Avocado Tartare is the best.

I’m happy for the Bon Temps Grill people. I hope the larger location is a success.
I only wish it had happened when I had large groups to take out to dinner!

Are there for lunch today. Boudin and sausage board is great. The tuna BLT is a favorite as well.

It's a shame they couldn't take over the theme and brand, and just run the business and kitchen. The Blue Dog was kitchy and had developed a name for itself.
They could have taken advantage of the name recognition. It's not like Blue Dog had a bad reputation as a restaurant. Bon Temps and Blue Dog had similar cuisine.
Hell they could have even added some blue dog favorites to the menu - "Blue Dog Crawfish Enchaladas"
I'm sure they thought of that, maybe the family wanted too much for the brand.

I like the Bon Temps theme and brand. Blue Dog has seen it's time and it had become a bad restaurant, imo.
