A coworker recently went and was talking about this place. I thought it was just a bar.

I am looking to get some oysters. i figured they may be busier this time of year considering it is Lent. Anybody been recently and have any thoughts on this place?

Blind Pelican 25¢ Oysters

Spent a few hours there one Sunday eating a very good fancy sandwich and LOTS of oysters.

I went once to meet some friends for a drink and they had ordered a few things .. nachos, chips & salsa, etc. I remember it being pretty bad. That being said it was a good atmosphere and I've heard from folks that they get good oysters and handle them properly so 25 cents seems like a solid deal. Get a couple dozen raw and some cold beers and go to town.

friend of mine says they put a limit on the # of oysters you can get. Anyone else hear this?

Where is this ? Did they ever do anything at the blind pelican? I recall seeing their stuff on the menu.

You have to buy a drink w each order is the only issue I've heard of. I've been there a few times and agree that the food off of the menu is nothing special but the oysters are a great deal.

It's the old McGuire's Pub on Magazine in the warehouse district.

I swore I would never set foot in McGuire's again. Glad to see it's gone, might check it out after a Wed concert.
