Anyone ever cook with smoked hog jowls. I picked on up being that is was only a couple bucks but have never used it before.

I’ve never used them, but it’s the same concept as a hock.

Haven't used jowls, but I use smoked hocks regularly. I'd use the hocks and saute your onions in some good smoked bacon grease. In fact, if you can find some good smoked bacon, you can use that as well.
