Where have you found to be best? I don't know all the different grades: prime, choice, etc.

ETA: New Orleans mainly, but I'm in BR/NS a good bit. Cut doesn't really matter. Just looking for a quality place and can go to and try.

Once when tooling through the Gladilais galaxy on my way to Centaur Prime I saw a cool little little market on Rebel 7 selling byruth steaks, one you got over the green color they were not so bad when boiled in my ZB1000, however hitsom steaks would have been better, the texture combined with the purple color just does it for me.

Or in other words you need to provide way more info for anyone to answer your question, you know info like where you are asking about and what meat these steaks are to come from.

Not being a dick. If you don't know the grades, I assume you might not be an expert at cooking steaks? Prime is the best, but don't waste money if you need practice. A good choice ribeye done right is still amazing.

In BR - Iverstine Butcher and Twine for markets with beef, pork or fowl. Grocers with good meat (beef) - Calandro's and Alexander's have good selection of prime grade. Calvin's might be another source, but I live closer to the others so I use them. Also, I've gotten good cuts from Maxwell's Market.

I buy prime tenderloin from Calandros get it trimmed and cut into filets, they grind the trimmings for prime burgers.

Alexanders Highland Market in Baton Rouge. They have all cuts there and are reasonably priced. I won't buy steaks from anywhere else now that Ive had theirs.
