Going to be in Austin tomorrow for the night. Bob’s, Perry’s, Steiner Ranch or other?

I’ve been to all three that you have listed.

I’d rank them in this order:

1. Perry’s
2. Steiner Ranch
3. Bob’s

But the best thing at Perry’s isn’t their steak, it’s their pork chop. Might be the best in the country. And this isn’t a knock on their steak. The pork chop is just that great.

You asking the wrong question. Any place makes a good steak. If its a big night out what experience do you want?

I have dreams of that Perry's chop. Want to do the shipping thing but it just won't be the near the same.

Yeah more praise for Perry's porkchop here. The tableside service of them bringing it out is part of the experience. It blows most steaks out of the water. Unlike any porkchop I've had before.

Perry's used to be the best, but it has gone very down hill the past few years. I no longer take clients there.

Bob's is pretty solid.

Steiner Ranch is pretty average as far as expensive steaks go.

Eddie V's is the best, they keep upping their game, and have the best ingredients.

Austin is not a steakhouse kinda city

Location specific or nationwide? I was planning on going try the chop next time I am in Houston.

I just went to perry's website and watched a video of how they carve that tableside. That looks amazing. Is now on my bucket list to try when in Austin.
