I enjoy Tramontes on Old Jefferson.

They do have a good selection most of the time. Id go more often if they, were a bit more warm customer service wise.

I'm a big fan of Tramonte's hamburger patties. Keep a box in your freezer for a barbecue and people will think you are a great cook. They used to have this good spicy sausage - think they called it Tiger sausage. Hadn't been there in a long while.

Bergeron's gets most of my business. They have excellent smoked boudin, game changing ham hocks, good stuffed chickens.

I like Cutrer's. They're based in Kentwood and they set up every week at the Farmer's Market downtown. They have a smoked sausage that's great for gumbo, beans, jambalaya, tossing in a crawfish boil, etc. I've also gotten some nice pork chops from them.

My wife likes Chris' Specialty Meats. Good stuffed chickens, steaks

If it were me I'd just make the time to drive to Krotz Springs and go to Kartchner's. You'll probably end up getting more than you intended but it'll be worth the trip.
