Best restaurants in Pensacola

10. Hummus - take out only now. Best Mediterranean I’ve ever had.
9. The Fish House - their shrimp and Gouda grits alone get them on the list. Expensive but fun. Their fried seafood isn’t as good as The Shrimp Basket though.
8. Carmine’s - fun little tapas place downtown. Great atmosphere, making one feel like he’s in SoHo NYC or River North Chicago.
7. Restaurant Iron - fancy and the most modern restaurant in town.
6. V Paul’s - next to Global Grill, it bills itself as Italian, but I think of it as more fancy American bistro with some Italian dishes.
5. Bonelli’s - undergoing renovation now, this family owned Italian is one of the only decent Italian spots in town. The best dish is the cheese ravioli dish that isn’t on the regular menu.
4. Sky’s Pizza - if you like NY style, you will not be disappointed.
3. Philly’s Cheesesteaks - a dump but the type of dump that gives dumps a good name. There’s not a better cheesesteak in America, Philadelphia included.
2. Global Grill - recently did a complete remodel with beautiful results. Everything on the menu is good. Best downtown restaurant.
1. O’Briens - decor stuck in the 80s. Chef died a couple of years getting a bacteria while cleaning a tuna in the kitchen but the family and new owner have kept its high standards going.
Overrated Pensacola restaurants include Grand Marlin, McGuires (good steak but line not worth it), Peg Leg Pete’s, Joey Pattis (the restaurant not the market) and Union Public House.

The little sushi bar in there is legit.

With all due respect I’d disagree with that Mr. Tittle.
The sashimi is fine. But they usually have poorly trained teens or 20 somethings making the sushi. The sushi rice is very bad and makes anything other than sashimi a downvote. As much as you’d think you it would be cheap, it’s as expensive as Pensacola’s best sushi restaurants, not that there are any good ones.

When I lived in Pensacola my go to was Jerry's Drive In...loved that hole in the wall.....

Jerry’s fried grouper sandwich is money! Not a big fan of other things on the menu but nice vibe and that grouper!

Sidelines I think is the name of the bar/ grill that we ate at and I thought it was damn good.

We were staying next door and I went ti sidelines one night to watch some sports. It seemed like just your run of the mill sports bar with nothing special. That was three years ago so maybe it’s changed

Peg leg Pete’s never impressed me.
