Cooking an anniversary dinner for myself and the wife. Got married a year ago tomorrow at the peak of Covid and we were supposed to have Rama after. Well, that's about the time that Dujulio Brothers bought the property and it was announced that Rama would not reopen. Sadly the haven't yet put out the cookbook that they plan on releasing.

So I need some recipes that can best recreate the flavors of Rama's Thai food. Specifically Pad Ke Mao/Drunken Noodles, Rama Spicy, and the Mint Pork from their menu.

Thanks in advance. I could Google recipes, but I trust the palates and experience of this board a lot more.

Is this legit? I haven't heard anything about it.

Congrats on the anniversary. I'm interested as well. Loved Rama.

I would kill for some panang curry fish from Rama right about now.

They mentioned it on their farewell social media post. So maybe but probably not.

I go to the Asian Grocery store on the corner of Florida and Sherwood and buy one red curry paste and one yellow curry paste. Buy a carton of their coconut milk and some Thai basil and some fresh green beans. Follow the directions on the paste, I use a scale to be exact and I go about 60/40 yellow to red. The red is HOT. If you like it real hot then do more red. I use all coconut milk and no water. Throw in some shrimp and the beans at the very end. It tastes just like their Panang. At least to me, it does. And it is simple and fast.

Went to Thai Kitchen this week and had a waitress who worked at Rama. She said the only person that knew the recipes was the old man, and he passed right before Christmas.
