You opened an account just to pimp your "past its prime" restaurant in order to tear down some good honest people who have worked hard to fill a void in this town? You are a fricking loser.

In BR I've had poboys at:

Rocco's
New Orleans Poboy & Gyros
Acme Oyster
Walkons

Of those, I suggest Acme.

Rocco's = Absolute garbage now. He's a tight arse and has made too many cutbacks. A guy from Da Parish should know better than to serve Manda deli meat as a RB po-boy.

N.O. Poboys & Gyros =

Acme = Legit. The peacemaker is one of the best po-boys in BR or anywhere for that matter.

Walk On's =

I do wish they were open at dinner. They just can't be compared to Bears.

Maybe, but if the purpose is to make money, maybe they lose money in the summer and would rather not.

So is the guy with one post really the proprieter at Copelands? That would be lame.

If their food was consistent, they could survive in the summer. This isn't a seasonal tourist destination or anything.

I heard that Rocco went back to real roast beef after so many complaints. True??

My 1st criteria is real poboy bread. Typically the places that go through the trouble to get real bread do a good job on the filling.

Pocorello's meatball poboy may be as close to flawless as any poboy in New Orleans or Baton Rouge.

The last few times I went there he got tight on his bread too and began using some garbage bread. Screw Roccos, and one thing you will never convince me of is that it's actually cheaper to buy pre-package deli meat or what have you than make your own roast beef in house. I will never believe that. I believe he does it as a way to dumb it down for his help and to perhaps make it quicker and stop people from actually having to cook.

Roccos is a very big dissapointment and I don't think he will ever get another chance with me.

Best shrimp poboy hands down is Off the Hook. First time we went it was near closing and the shrimp were falling off the loaf. I thought that they were just getting rid of what they had left.
The next two times...same thing at Lunch. I am a repeater at that place!
