Heading to Atlanta this week for a debate tournament, need some suggestions on good places to eat. Been to the varsity there a few times and it was fantastic. Also, open to hearing suggestions on any kind of food. Thanks guys

Been a while since I was in Atlanta proper, but assuming these places are still open, they used to be great:
Vortex
La Fonda Latina
Surin of Thailand
A good suggestion also probably depends greatly on what part of town you're in, and how willing you are to brave traffic.

Breakfast at the Silver Skillet. Its a nothing fancy, 50's style diner. Many celebrities have visited and the waitresses are old ladies that will snap at you. But the red eye gravy is legit.

The top foodie spots right now are Staplehouse and Gunshow if that's what you're looking for. I would recommend making a trip to Buford Highway for something ethnic. One of my favorite spots in Atlanta is Nam Phuong. They have amazing pho but also have an extensive Vietnamese menu and just about everything in amazing. Can't go wrong. Lee's Bakery is a couple of doors down and they're known for their bahn mi sandwiches. Ponce City Market is a good place with lots of options and is good if you just don't know what you want. Something for everyone.
