I got some Pizza Village on Friday and it was even better than I remembered. Even the leftover pizza is better than anywhere else in Lafayette fresh. Just reheat in the oven at 450 degrees.

i would like to try it, only because so many people on this board hype it. but c'mon. anyplace with a "bacon cheeseburger" pizza on its menu doesn't deserve a seat at the table in discussions of best pizza anywhere...

sweep the swamp or pepperoni extra cheese and sauce.
I grew up in Shreveport on the same street as one of the johnnys and would ride my bike down there or pick up a pizza at least 2x a week.
I'm biased but it's still damn good and one of the best I've had including places like Chicago and throughout all Italy. Different people have different palates but it suits mine just fine.

Regginelie's on Chimes is worth a try.

Pizza King in Shreveport used to be excellent. Not sure what happened, but they closed down.

THE BEST PIZZA PLACE IS LA PIZZERIA IN LAFAYETTE HANDS DOWN. EATING THERE WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE. IT IS SO FREAKING AWESOME THAT I FELT LIKE SHOUTING IT!

Someone from north LA is going to be here shortly to proclaim that Johnny's is the greatest pizza in the history of the world. I guess I would like it if I had to suffer through the rest of their restaurants.

This is the best i have ever had and i have been to about 10 different places in NYC and Brooklyn
So you are saying you like pizza that taste cheap with crust that taste like cardboard? NYC/Brooklyn pizza is SO DAMN OVERRATED!

Then order Dominos, because that is what all other pizza joints taste like.

If you have never tried it, your comment has no merit.

Okay, food in Ruston and Monroe are shite (exception for Johnnys). What did you expect?
Ruston maybe, because other than Johnnys what do they have? Damn Johnny's started in Monroe and is headquartered in West Monroe. Ernesto's Mexican, BBQ West, Danken Trail, and several others are better than anything Shreveport has to offer. I live in Nashville and they better than what they have here as well.

where is this johnnys yall talk about

Really? Really? Your list of best restaurants in town consists of one Tex Mex place and two barbecue joints? I'm sorry.
CP3: here's a list of Johnny's locations. They're all north of you by quite a ways. LINK
