I love heat, just not that painful cross section bite of jalapeno chock-full of seeds and membrane.
I am with you. I hate when you get to that bite that is seemingly all Jalapeno

I usually remove the seeds and membrane so it won't happen.

To the OP ...
... I get the feeling that we'll be seeing a lot more of you on this board.
Just remember that you can come here and simply ask, the people in here are really nice and helpful as opposed to the "requisite asinine" atmosphere that's fostered on a lot of the other boards.
Notice how everyone here is ecstatic about us pointing you in the right direction and opening up your culinary world. It's what we do here.
That being said, you seem like a nice guy. Most people in your position usually would have not been so humble and apologetic, much less admit they love the cuisine they previously mocked.
Enjoy the Vietnamese cuisine. Let us know when you're up for something else.

Dang's is owned by Pluckers. Not at all authentic, but damn tasty.
Was this recent? Because just a couple of months ago I was there and Dangs was run by the vietnamese family that used to own another Pho restaurant down the street (Pho Hoa?) that closed down a while back. That place wasn't in a great spot, couldn't see it from the service streets. The food at Dang's is still good. Authenticity is certainly not the issue. Consistency, however, for me is.

I just figured they expanded to Baton Rouge, since Pluckers is there. Never mind!

Has anyone tried Saigon Noodles? Had it the other night and loved it!
