If you feel like going uptown, check out Madigan's towards the end of Carrolton. It is usually pretty laid back and has a ton of TVs with good food (GB's is the restaurant/kitchen attached) and usually a pretty decent looking (female) bartender. Was my favorite spot when I lived there a couple years ago.
