What are the best food places in Austin?
Locally owned burger joints, breakfast places and things that like. I’ve been to magnolia cafe and Hut’s burgers looking for other good places.

Burgers
Luke's Inside Out outside of Gibson Street Bar
Peche - you can get the burger and a side of duck confit mac and cheese for half off on Sundays with all night happy hour
Casino El Camino
Pizza
Homeslice
Little Deli - bacon and blue cheese, pepperoni and meatball, or 1/2 of each
Via 313
I'm not big on breakfast so I can't help you there.

Top-Notch is good, they cook the burgers with charcoal. Hop-doddy is overrated in my opinion. And like the previous poster said Casino El Camino has a good burger.

24 Diner or Counter Cafe
If you're looking for good Mexican, I like Curra's on Oltorff and Polvol's on S. 1st.

If you like bbq brisket, and don't mind waiting in a very long line, I'd suggest Franklin BBQ...

I 2nd Valentina’s and 24 dine has some good breakfast. Pinthouse pizza is good too and it’s a brewery.
Really enjoyed Odd Duck and Uchiko, but I don’t think they fall in line with what you are asking.
