Looking for something relatively close to the interstate. Burger place or meat and three would be options as well.

Fresh Air in Macon is pretty good and not far off the interstate.

Nu Way for chili slaw dogs!

There is a nu-way Northside drive about 2 miles from I-75. Before I started going to a Cardiologist, I ate there all the time. The Northside location doesn't have the ambiance of my favorite one (Downtown Macon on Cotton Street which burned to the ground), but the chili recipe is the same. If you've eaten at the Varsity in Atlanta it's the same Greek style ala Coney island style. Been around since 1916.
Nu-way
Fresh air BBQ is close to I-75 and I enjoy their BBQ. It's smoked at their original location in Jackson. Love that place for its character and ambiance. Forget that, I love it for the smell of almost a hundred years of Hickory/Oak crud impregnated on the walls.
I could send you down to the hood, which used to be a respectable part of blue collar Macon, but you wanted something near the Interstate.
My favorite hamburger. Slow smoked with a bark. It has a smoke ring. Pickles and mustard.

Papa Bucks in Metter.
Right off the interstate. One of my favorite places. Closed Sunday and Monday. There is another Q place at that exit that I can't recommend.
Try the Scooby Snack.
