Do you want Tex-Mex or real Mex?

I like Ahuuas for Tex Mex.

Any good places other than Serranos and La Caretta?

My head just exploded. Those are two of the most God-awful restaurants in this city.

Good places: Superior, Ninfa's, Coyote Blues, El Rio Grande.

just go to j alexander's & get the fish tacos, rattlesnake pasta & spinach con queso....then take her to copelands for a piece of cheesecake. after that, go to the mall across the street and buy some bigger sized clothes that'll fit y'all.

Everyone relax.

I dislike Serranos myself. Everyone just recommends that place because of the atmosphere, so I was just trying to avoid that.

I don't like Coyote Blues because I think it's too pricey for the food- just not delicious enough.

Thanks so much for the input!

Serrano's should be firebombed.

I used to like Fernando's but it's been two years since I have been.

The Ninfa's in Baton Rouge is like one of the best Ninfa chains out there.

Former TJ Moran ownership and Burk's running of it, with liberal upgrades and interpretations, of the meats,etc..

BR Ninfa's is a Ninfa's in mostly name only.

Most H-Town's Ninfa's blow sans the original on Nav.

If you don't think Coyote Blues is tasty, damn, just damn.

Wow, you named Serrano's and La Carreta's and hate on Coyote Blues. It's like you live in upside down world where worst is best.

In Lilly's defense, I agree with her to a degree, in that at times the clear line of demarcation to justify the price and portion, is lacking at Coyote Blues.

And I know you intended Lilly, as I've never stepped foot in neither Serrano's nor La Carreta.

Carlos cousins at El Rio(I only go for the Chile Relleno..probably BR's best or damn near it..maybe a Chimichanga..otherwise mediocre joint at best) told me of his reopening, great news.
