Not techniacally BR, but Waynes is the best around. Big Jakes is very good, but again, not in BR. That leaves Pimanyoli's - excellent brisket.

Best barbecue in Baton Rouge = best seafood in North Dakota.

I don't agree with this, while the Voo Doo chain dominates this market because of its mass appeal blandness, Pimanyoli's, Wayne's and maybe others are pretty good. I've have tried several places in Alabama, Georgia, Texas and have had better, but not by a wide margin.

Try some from Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina or Tennessee.

This ain't rocket science. It is taking the time and putting out the effort to do it right. People in Alabama swear by that crap from Dreamland because they don't know any better.

Dreamland is garbage, always was, even when the old man in the logo was still alive. Fatty marbled ribs, and pitiful sides. And that dump off Macfarland Blvd..sheer sh!tshack.

Archibalds is better T-Town Q.

I wouldn't clump Texas with Bama and Ga as far as Q. Just because it varies in style from Tenn, Mo, Caro Q, doesn't mean it's not good.

Tell us about the BBQ that you've had in Texas, Mr. Rhode Island. I'm anxious to hear about this!

I've had plenty. Your brisket, sausage (ugh) and whatever it is that you guys put on a plate simply sucks. White trash barbecue from Eastern North Carolina is much better.

You're a good sport, Panny. The fact is that I have eaten very little "bad" barbecue in my life. Some is just better than others and some of it I've had from Texas was good. The two areas of the country that deserve absolutely no claim to fame are Kansas City and St. Louis. The barbecue in those two towns truly is awful.

"truly is awful" and "simply sucks" when describing a cuisine not just of a city but of entire states is truly awful and simply sucks.

I like NC bbq, but some will say that smoked meat doused in vinegar is horrible.

Develop some perspective and provide some substantive thoughts beyond "ugh". So far you sound like someone with a lot to say that no one cares to hear.
