what’s different about your recipe? Just curious and may mix it up next time

This is how I bake it and this recipe is for just 1 loaf:

2 cups all purpose flour
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 very ripe bananas
4 tbsp. sour cream
1/4 cup Crisco
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup walnuts or pecans broken in pieces

In a bowl put the Crisco, sugar and egg and beat until smoothly blended, add the bananas and sour cream and incorporate that.

In a separate bowl put your flour, baking soda, baking powder and nuts then add the bowl of liquid to the flour and mix well. It will be a fairly stiff dough when mixed.

I use a greased and floured a standard metal loaf pan measuring about 5 x 9 x 2 1/2 tall. Bake for 55 minutes in a 325 degree oven. Test for done with a toothpick shoved in the loaf on the ends and in the middle to make sure it is fully cooked. If the toothpick comes out clean, it is done.

I was hesitant because I wasn’t sure how it would be taken. The last two years I’ve been mastering cooking with Thc / CBD and it would be nice to share the knowledge here. But I do want to share more... so we’ll see

How do you allocate dosage per loaf?

Have you ever tried this product? It's a powder that dissolves in cold or hot liquids. Allows you to dial in the dosage exactly (10mg a packet).

Sounds good. Interesting throwing the sour cream in there - I’ll try it next time I’ve got some ripe bananas

I’ve never used that product.

In the most non-scientific way possible. I use a lot of trim / shake that’s hard for me to know the exact % of the THC still in the plant. I have a better idea of how strong each specific edible I make is. For example gummies are 35-40 mg. Honey is 50mg tbsp. The banana bread slice is close to 60mg...

I’ve worked so long with specific strains/quantities I know about how strong each batch is. There are some THC % calculators online that help you figure out how strong your stuff is. Assuming you know the % of THC in your weed. I have that benefit here in Oregon, a legal state... because a lot of people around here actually know the specs on their product. It’s different when you’re just buying a bag from your buddy. Then you use the test it and see method.

You could also use buttermilk if you don't have sour cream on hand.

I tend to always have sour cream on hand so I use it.

I made your beef, spinach, mushroom soup the other day

MJ is so hard to get here, so my soup will likely stay unaltered the next time I make that recipe.

brought home a bunch of ripple from our last trip to CO. love it

we make infused coconut oil rather than butter...
grind your flowers and decarb in a low over for an hour or so. put the cannabis in a piece of cheesecloth and tie securely. put the bag in a pot and cover with the oil, let infuse over a low fire for an hour

. I’ve never seen the powder on the Oregon market. I could just be missing it though. It sounds super convenient for portioning!

Same here on coconut oil. It’s so much more versatile than butter I think. I infuse mine on the stove pot in a water bath kind of method.

Herb in pot, cover with water + a little extra, low simmer for 40 min for your decarb, add desired coconut oil, low simmer for a few hours... done and done. Strain and it’s ready to use.

Coconut oil uses: capsules, gummies, choc, bakes goods, Krispie treats, honey, pain rub.
With butter I’ve only baked and made infused PB. With alcohol I’ve done syrup and infused sugar.

It’s true
They can be portioned. I don’t portion them.
