Putting together a guy’s night out at Restaurant August. 18 of us. We reserved a table in one of the private dining rooms and need to make a preselect menu. 1 option for first course, 2 options for second course, 3 options for main entree, and 1 option for dessert. Any suggestions? Most of us never been at August, and this is my first time. TIA

We need to select options from the main menu. I’ve never been, so I’m asking if any items stand out for those who have dined there.

Had my rehearsal dinner at August. Biggest hit was probabl rigatoni pasta w/ slow cooked pork and smoked tomato. Trout ponchatran and filet w marrow and asparagus were great. Bacon, duck chili poppers and crabmeat/truffle deviled eggs were good

This was a few years ago and the menu changes. Pick whatever sounds good, it’s August. Are you dealing with Christy?

Yes.

Thinking about going with the filet, trout, and pork shoulder for entree options. Would like to add a 4th option for entree, but already added $12/person upcharge just to add a 3rd entree option. Think it’s kind of ridiculous to add $24/person just to have 2 extra options for entree.

That’s a great choice. Everything is good there. Enjoy!

You should just do a 4 course demi portion menu. You get to taste more. I had 75 people and did not give them a choice

Course 1 is your app
Then demi portions of two entrees - do the fish and pick one of the meats
Pick a dessert (i did banana pudding)
