One of the things that makes quest one of the better protein bars out there is the short ingredient list. If you look at some of the bars it is like a paragraph of b.s.

Much better ingredients than the majority of bars and protein powders on the market.

I'm a fan of the bars. I've tried quest chips as well and was severely disappointed. Very weird texture and little flavor.

What does that mean?
So brown rice over white rice? You do know they basically have the exact same nutrient profile right? The human body will process both the exact same and both will supply you with pretty much the exact same energy and fuel.
But I agree. Quest bars are Amazing. If yall see muscle pharm combat bars, give those a try. Just as good I think.

No rice at all, or pasta, bread or potatoes. Occasionally bread because it's my weakness

you taking protein in after your workout? I use optium nutrition gold chocolate peanut butter right after i work out. Then eat some chicken breast and green veg an hr later. I just started in january with eating good and working out and can definitely tell a difference. The protein helps alot

Usually just eat dinner like 30 mins after the work out. high protein. Breakfast and lunch is all high protein as well. I usually don't do the shakes after a workout except on weekends when I just use the shake as my lunch

how old are you? Im no expert by any means, but you know that you could be hurting your weight loss goals by taking in too few calories? It will mess your metabolism up, i learned this myself the hard way. I was eating low cals and hit a plateu. Learned that my metabolism was screwed up from my eating habbits. I have found that i lost more weight, gained more muscle, and look a ton better... by jumping my calories from 1200 to 1800-2000 and hitting the weights and gym more. I have actually gained "lbs" on the scale the past couple months, but also lost 2 belt sizes

try adding a good protein shake "one that isnt loaded with sugars and crap" right after your workout, then eat you meal a little later. You may see some better results. The powder protein breaks down faster than food you eat. You muscles are looking for that protein after you work out, thats why the shakes are used by so many.
fyi im 152-155lbs 5'8"... i take in about 200-220 grams of protein a day
