It's at 300 Baronne and appears to have opened in the last week. Gambit gave it a little press April 23. Have not seen any reviews yet and cannot even find a menu or web site on internet. Pumped to have a sit down vietnamese option downtown. Anyone try it yet?

had lunch there today - was good.

the staff was SUPER attentive. nearly to the point of overkill but i think they were just trying to make sure everyone got some attention despite being very crowded.

standard issue menu - had the pho. it was good. pretty average really. watching items go by the bahn mi looked large (was a little pricey too if i recall the menu right) and the bun looked a bit smaller than i typically see but no idea of the quality of those items.

ill go back occasionally. Ran about 9.50 plus tip for the basic pho with rare steak, and a glass of water.

not sure about last week but definitely was open for lunch today. saw a sign that had limited hours currently - looked like lunch service only if i recall.

i wasnt expecting to post about it so i wasnt much for paying attention to detail, but when i saw the thread figured i would chime in. what i had was better than youd be getting at place st charles for a quick lunch, but i think ill still be making treks to other locations outside of the occasional tuesday lunch break craving. it was good, just didnt blow me away or anything

So I stopped in today for lunch. Place was pretty packed. Service was VERY slow. They apologized, and I will chaulk it up to a new restaurant on a busy Friday. However, the food was just ok, and the prices were high. Had the $9 banh mi pork sandwich. Not much pork in it and pretty dry. I understand you have to charge more in CBD as opposed to the West Bank, but the food at least has to be comparable. Bun did not look great, and our spring rolls were just ok. I will give them another shot later, but I'd rather drive to WB or Magazine spots.

Wow, and it didn't have much meat on it? Like Magasin's skimpy ?

From afar (and not really looking) on Monday it appeared to be a pretty large sandwich, but just a standard issue French bread but sliced a few inches longer than a typical bahn mi. Wouldn't shock me to hear they are spreading the normal meat serving a little thin across that bread in an effort to give the appearance of size without raising cost and dumping the extra dollars into the rent instead of product.

Ill stand by- if Tuesday morning I'm thinking pho for lunch ill likely stop here, if Friday ill probably hike out to another spot the next day when I have time
