George's on Perkins was being completely remodeled during Covid, then Smokie died and that shite went into all kinds of legal problems from what I heard.
Nothing like family fighting over the rights, but something to do with the way everything was set up over there between the ownership of building and restaurant and all that stuff.
It's apparently a clusterfrick.
But that's just rumours.
