Same with my stepdaughter. I though she was going to cough up lung tissue she was coughing so violently.
Then I started wondering what's up with me since it really wasn't affecting me at all. Every year I probably process a couple thousand super hot peppers in one way or another, so I've gotten use to the potential side effects.

My Carolina Reaper is currently over 4 1/2 tall growing in a 16” container. Gave my buddy one when I got mine and his is smaller but surprisingly loaded with peppers. I’ve noticed mine is super heat and sun sensitive. I have to keep him in the shade of the porch. Ghosts are producing well. Anyone else growing superhots feel free to give updates.

Love growing peppers. Currently have shishitos, Tabasco, Bell, and Carolina Reapers
Hot ones definitely come in later in the summer

Mine are the opposite. They love the heat, so do my habaneros, Super Chili’s, & chocolate ghost. One of my reapers is actually setting fruit in this hot weather but I do keep them mostly all in partial shade and water good every morning. It’s really too hot to put anything in full sun in the south LA summer.

would think one Carolina reaper would be enough for an entire pot, possibly to much.
Not at all.
Reaper peppers are about 20x hotter than Chinese red pepper. And I add a half a lb of that.
Reapers are just a different animal when eaten or put into smaller items.
But I carry a bottle of reaper squeezins in the car.
Spices up canes

I've been picking lemon drops, cayennes, and jalapenos all summer. I planted fataliis a little later than normal, and I'm still waiting on my first pepper from that one.

This is my kind of thread. I have habaneros, chocolate habaneros, ghost peppers, caroline reaper, Trinidad moruga, and red savina.

once you hit September and October the plant will explode and you'll have more peppers than you know what to do with.
