I gave mine away. It was good for chicken and pork butts. Stuff you want to keep moist. But I preferred the old fashioned wood smoker. The electric wouldn't get rid of the moisture and everything tasted boiled to me..

I had an electric Weber cylinder shaped that I loved.

I replaced it with a cabinet style Masterbuilt and I’m not super impressed with the results so far.

It seems like it steams the meat as much as it smokes.

I have a masterbuilt also and I love it. I have cranked out some solid briskets and butts from it.

I have a Char Broil digital one, maybe $200. What I loved about it was that I could set the temp, then set an internal temp and just leave it all day. Once it gets to the internal temp it cuts back to a keep warm mode and will stay there for like 8 hours or something like that. I could put in a couple butts in the morning, hit the water all day and not worry about it.

Problem is that it is a piece of crap, buy the extended warranty.

We have one at the deer camp, and I'm pretty indifferent on it. It's super easy to use, which works out well on Saturdays when everyone is out hunting. Set it, and forget it. The meat from it pales in comparison to a regular smoker though. Wings and chicken are the best on the electric. We've also done a couple of turkeys on it that turned out okay. The pork butts have been just okay.

Once you figure it out the Masterbuilt smokers work great. Sure it's never going to beat the old fashioned way but you can produce some really good food with very little effort.
