Yes, I’ve had both Pinhook rye and Pinhook bourbon. The rye is OK. The Bourbon is too mellow for my taste. I wouldn’t turn it away, but it’s not as good as Eagle Rare, Woodford or Makers 46, etc. it doesn’t have the same bite. I’m not much of a rye drinker so I can’t give you any comparison. But i didn’t think it was awful. Couple of ounces with a cube was quite enjoyable while watching aTm muddle through UK last weekend.

If nothing else, it’s a cool bottle to add to your bottle collection.

Are you talking about their lot 001 of rye or bourbon? The rye has a green wax top and is confusingly called Bourbon and Rye.

Every release prior to that rye and the most recent bourbon, Bourbon Country (orange wax), were aged far longer.

Correct it is the green wax. I believe it is lot 1 but I am not positive.

The rye is pretty good for being just 2 years old. It's more fruity than spicy.
