Just saw another commercial for those ceramic/titanium skillets and they look too good to be true. Was thinking about pulling the trigger.
Any reason I shouldn't?

I have the deep sided square fryer one, (Christmas gift) and I love it. I have fried in it, cook burgers in it. No complaints yet.

Meh..
They're pretty awesome for like a year. Then they just kind of go to crap...
There's better options out there
You can read the reviews at the bottom of that link.

Cast iron = The original non-stick pan. Last a life time. Is inexpensive. Only requires a very elementary level of cooking skills.

I picked one up at Walmart a few weeks back. It's been good so far.

We have one that we decided to get to use for scrambled eggs and omelets. Great for those things. I cheated the other day and did a grilled cheese in it and it worked very well for that also.
We have had it for at least six months and have seen no deterioration in the coating or the no stick function. We do not use metal utensils in it and do not cook at temperatures higher than medium heat.

Great to see you posting again MD!
I was pulling for your dawgs in the CWS because they were the gold standard when LSU first started getting good.
Sorry they're not in the final.
