Yep. Saw it on a food show focusing on South Carolina...it's a jam.

It's awesome. I spent some time hunting in the SC low country. It's also known as purloo or perlow. I've had it with duck and sausage. It's not as spicy. Not very brown, no tomatoes(for you Creoles). Good stuff.
