The wife and her friends are running the St Judes Marathong this weekend and are looking for somewhere to watch the games I researched a bit, but the alumni chapter seems to do stuff at peoples houses. The information on here is kind of old for places to watch.

There’s a Fox and Hound in Southaven, MS which is about 20 minutes south of town.

I’m tentatively planning to watch at Railgarten. Hope my legs can carry me there.

ETA: didn’t realize Memphis plays AAC championship at 2:30. Might be tough to get a big screen anywhere.

Brookhaven Pub in East Memphis maybe, but most screens will be on the Memphis game. Flying Saucer downtown might have it on a couple of tv's

If you are gonna be downtown The Flying Saucer is the correct answer. They also have burgers that are effing amazing. They have 2 specials then a bunch of others. The Royale with Cheese is good, The Telluride is good. There are always 2 specials one of them currently has bacon marmalaide, pimento and cheese, actual bacon and some other stuff i dunno. It is fire. Service is always on point too. Your wife might not appreciate the short skirts, but they keep it classy. Just don't look and she will love you more.

Brookhaven's sucks. Service is garbage.
Railgarten gets my approval
Celtic Crossing gets my approval
The Bayou gets my approval
Local Gastropub on Madison is good (the one downtown is garbage.)

The Bluff is okay has a bazillion TVs.
Casual Pint gets my approval, not great spot for watching sports tho

What part of Memphis are you going to be staying the night in? Everywhere is gonna be smash packed.

I’m not sure where they are staying. They have an AirBnB. It’s 3 chicks that are gonna want to eat post a marathon and want good beer. They have been ranting and raving about the free post beer being 2 ultras. They want to leave the festivities with the quickness to get somewhere.

Sum bitch.... now they want a restaurant rec for tomorrow night. I don’t know why they keep asking me, I’ve only been there once for the BBQ championship.
Any decent joints on that Friday that they can get into? They aren’t going to want to frick with hot chicken or BBQ.

Probably downtown if it's for the race. I really don't know what you're supposed to eat the night before a marathon, something light?

Flying saucer usually has 200 beers on hand at any given time and 100 on tap. They have a thing where you get a "saucer" on the wall if you drink 200 different beers. I completed that earlier this year I just haven't had my party yet. They have a bunch of TVs and a projector.

Just remember everywhere is gonna be packed house. AAC championship game is at 2:30 central in Memphis at Liberty Bowl Stadium, and SEC Championship game is at 3:00 so wherever you go it needs to be a sports bar. The Bluff or Railgarten are probably your best options in midtown. Downtown I would go with The flying saucer. They will likely have the game on 1 or 2 TVs out of the 10 or so they have so you might ask first thing wherever go when you walk in the door. I frequent it too much but staff is usually excellent and will work something out.

Memphis fans rally when they are relevant in something. There are plenty of other SEC fans in town that will want to watch the game, but most bars will try to cater to the Memphis fans not in the stadium that just got done with the race.

Best of Luck, cheers to good health, and have fun. Stay off Beale after 10pm or all together but if you are bold you can manage till 12am. Stay on roads north of central avenue avenue and south of union and you won't run into anything too sketchy.
