Planning our Destin trip and we like to eat at a nice restaurant every night there.
Out of the 3 nights, we have Seagar's and Cuvee locked in.
We have done Louisiana Lagniappe and Marlin Grill in the past.
I heard there is a newish Emeril restaurant.. any good?
Do you guys know if there's any new upscale restaurants worth trying in Destin/Sandestin?
TIA

Big Bad Breakfast there now. You’ve eaten at Boshamp’s? Not as fancy as Cuvee, but good food on the harbor. Is Seager’s good - we’ve never tried it.

Cafe Tango is only 15 miles away...but no telling how long that would take to drive.

I have visited Destin 1-3 times per year for over 30 years (my elderly parents retired there). Old restaurants that I go to regularly are Donut Hole for breakfast/brunch and Marina Cafe for a fancy dinner. Sexton's has the best raw seafood if you want to cook. Harbordock's usually has a good lunch special. Haven't been to the newer joints.

There’s an Hebert’s Meat Market in Destin now. Great plate lunches.

Never heard of Vintij, that sounds just what we are looking for. Thank you!

And to the previous responses, thanks for your input. We have done Boschamps and Harbordocks before. And if we went Italian we would probably end up going to the new Emerils restaurant. Very appreciative of all the suggestions though!

No, really!

The Surfing Deer Story

In the 1940’s, when Seagrove Beach was nothing more than a few houses hidden behind sand dunes, a man named Cube McGee saw something more. He saw a paradise unlike anywhere else in the world and decided to build a community around it.

Cube developed and shaped Seagrove into the vibrant, soulful place it is today. He was also a local celebrity, with his pet deer named Bambi. The both of them could be seen each morning on the beach, playing in the surf. Some even say, if you’re up early enough, you might still see a deer playing in the surf at sunrise.

So, to pay homage to Cube and his taste for adventure, we decided to keep the legend and the soul of 30A alive by naming our latest restaurant Surfing Deer—a place where folks can dine, create memories and enjoy the beauty of our beach.

Seagar's is our favorite of the bunch. Very high prices but very good. Outstanding service.

The best restaurant in destin is Dewey’s at Crab Island. The Harborside one isn’t nearly as good.

Donut Hole for good burgers and snow angels. Snow angels usually sold out by noon at the Destin location. The 30A location was closed last month when I was in the area. Might be open again now.

Hebert’s Specialty Meats opened last Fall on 98 in the middle of Destin. They do fantastic to go lunches for $9. Fried boudin balls are great too. And of course you can get fresh or frozen stuffed chickens there which made them famous. The shrimp rice stuffed IMO are the best.

We have a condo there.
I’ve had some really bad meals in Destin over the years but these places are consistently good.
