This, all day long -- I find it makes a big difference in it's taste if you cook them(fried, gravy, whatever, etc...) when they're fresh than when they're frozen.

I've had gar roasts from the tail on the smoker/grill. Not too bad.

Yes indeed my friend. I haven't missed that Good Friday meal in awhile and if anyone on this board ate that they would be at Home Depot buying machetes and pick axes.

I remember working on a barge drilling rig once. The company man came back from his days off with ice chests full of gar meat. He made gar ball stew, and fried fillets. They weren't that bad from what I remember.
