Most of the beer snobs (actually I think all of them), are saying when poured into a glass it doesn't matter if it comes from a bottle or can. But just like drinking a soda, when drank straight from a can, you can pick up a metallic flavor.

Not a big deal to me. If you are at home it doesn't matter, you can pour it in a glass. If you are at a parade, river, tailgate you can't even bring the glass and it's better than the alternatives that come in a can.

I normally drink my beer from the appropriate glass. However, if I'm on the beach, I think Abita in cans is a great idea.

But good quality beers in a can should be poured but people are not gonna do it.

i cant tell you how much flak I catch from my miller lite drinking coonass relatives because i pour every beer i drink into a cup. Really pissed me off when an in-law started cracking jokes about my "gay beer" - it was St. Arnold Summer Pils with a tye-dyed rainbow label. Come on macro drinkers....don't be afraid of good beer. Just because your daddy and podnuh's don't drink it means it must be wrong huh?? But what should i expect from someone who chooses to live in White Castle....

well when you put it that way I hear ya though. My FIL looked at me funny when I grabbed a wine glass off the rack at his place to pour my beer. He has a 6,000 bottle wine cellar though so he kind of understand my passion.

I've had more than a few funny looks when I grabbed a wine glass for a beer. It's really a pretty good way to drink one if you don't have a Belgian goblet or snifter handy.

I don't have a snifter so whenever I'm tasting a beer I've never had, it usually ends up in a wine glass. Or when I'm at someones house who doesn't have pint glasses.

I like to chug miller lites, crush them to save space, and throw them on the floor in my back seat.

Most old men I know drink stuff like Schlitz and Dixie and long for the old days when they could get a Falstaff.
