Got in Thursday afternoon. Ate dinner at Meril. Really enjoyed this place and looking to go back to try more items. We had the fries, Brussel sprouts, chicken thighs, pork belly bowl and turkey necks. For dessert we had the lemon ice box pie. Turkey necks were okay. Drinks were not memorable but everything else was great.

Friday went to lunch at Compère Lapin. The curried goat was incredible.

Ate dinner at Sylvain. Chicken liver pate and cheese burger. Both were awesome. Drinks were very good. Sazerac and a vieux carre.

Saturday had lunch at piece of meat before going home. Brisket sandwich was tasty with a large amount of brisket on it. Also had the pork rillion which hit the spot.

Been seeing Meril on here a bunch, but I haven’t been in that building since it was the Chart House. Always enjoyed the layout...maybe I need to go back.

The drinks at Meril are my favorite part.

You might be talking about Muriel’s not Meril.

Meril is an Emeril’s joint?

I’d guess that’s much different than Muriel’s. Mega brain fart...probably still don’t want to go to Muriel’s then.

Yes, named after his daughter.

Muriel’s is a pretty good restaurant.
