Looking to replace a 5 gallon cast iron pot. At that size they are available as the "kettle" style as well as Dutch over style, with the flat bottom.

What are the pros/cons of the two styles? Anything?

I have both. For me it’s basically if I want to cook outside or inside. Also the flat bottom takes up a lot of stove top space when cooking, Also bc of the size, the burner may not heat evenly depending on what you are cooking.

^ This is exactly what I have and agree. I know Baldwin Taylor Hardware in NOLA sells both. Might want to give them a ring.
