Off topic, but how the hell did the Perkins Rowe theater win 1st. To me, that is the last place I would go to watch a movie

Why? I've been Sunday-Thursday and it's been fine. I haven't been on the weekends, but from my experience there isn't a theatre in BR that is "nice" to go to on the weekned.

I'm not sure which signs you're reading. Many stores in the PR shopping center are doing very well.

None of the theatres in baton rouge really blows the others away. It is a crapshoot. I never saw anything wrong with it except all the young people at night.

I think some posters are worried that Perkins Rowe is becoming like Citiplace. Who goes there makes no difference to me, but even I have to concede that most people seem to prefer Rave behind the Mall. I go to Rave because they have the digital projectors that Cinemark doesn't.

this doesn't make sense to me either .. that theatre has old, outdated equipment .. it is not even updated ..

why would anyone want perkins rowe to fail ? don't get retail confused with residential .. retail is doing just fine, residential is going to make it too ... spinosa will lose it in bankruptcy .. but the idea worked ..

Agree. We go there regularly on Saturdays, and sometimes on Sundays. Shrimp and grits were a nice surprise.

Exactly. How you build a brand new theater and not have every screen with digital projection is beyond me. I also hate the fact that you have to park so far away to get to the theater and it always seems like a fiasco to get in and out of Perkins Rowe, that I just avoid it all together.

how hard is it for you to park in one of the two garages and walk around the corner to the theatre ?

My biggest problem is national chains being included.

Say people come to BR from out of town. For Bayou Country Superfest, a LSU game, whatever. Chances are they're going to want to try some of the best BR has to offer, and instead, people are going to see this list.

We should do a TD F&D response to this. Take the same categories and cast our own votes.

In defense of Perkins Rowe movie theater, I've never had a problem there -- from parking to the movie experience.

I went yesterday to see Horrible Bosses during a late morning show. It was $5.50 to get in, which is cheap these days for an easy showing. A few chairs in the theater were busted, but other than that, no problems at all.

i've said this long before stu said it ... there are a handful of posters around here that you can tell know their shite about cooking that i enjoy reading .. but those aren't the ones that take pictures of their food .. it is the average arse ones .. i can't cook for shite, but i can grill a steak, take a pic of it and it doesn't look any different from anyone else's that snaps pics on here .. so what's the fricking difference ?

No shite, parking is easy... and Kona grill has a good happy hour to hit up before the show.

Just don't go a see a movie that has been out for a few weeks because you'll notice a definite lack in picture quality.

i don't get people bashing perkins rowe ... channel 9 and paul gates have them programmed because one worthless, out-of-business, stucco company didn't get paid by spinosa for their crappy work went to them crying ..

This is the type of list you see created in 98% of the cities/towns in America. I'm glad I live in place located in the other 2%.
