I'm leaving NOLA Thursday night and traveling to my hometown of Monroe. I usually take 55 N up to I20W and then cross the Vicksburg bridge

You guys think I'll run into any issues up that way in crossing the big river?

I'm sure it will be fine but I just wanna make sure

TIA

You shouldn't have any problems going 55 to 20. If you want to go a more scenic route go to BR then to New Roads and Hiway 1, turn on 15 north and go up the levee. You can see the Morganza floodway and the Old River floodway. I haven't been down there yet, but friends tell me it is some kind of sight to see.People are traveling hundreds of miles to take it in down there. i haven't had time yet The Old river structues are as impressive as the Morganza.

OOPS!, You did say leaving at night! Even so that would have to be pretty neat to see at night, as bright as the full moon is now!

Just drove to Ruston last Thursday evening...took 55N to Crystal Springs, then took Hwy 27 (I believe) through Utica and into Vicksburg, then got on I20, no problems with any road closures or water. Was a pretty impressive sight though crossing the river!

The problem you will have on I 10 is slow traffic do to rubbernecking. That is it.
