I had a student from when i taught in NOLA in the public schools. He was brutally murdered with 3 of his family members back in 2004. The killer even set fire to the house destroying all family pics.

here it is almost 15 years later and i found some pics of him from my class. Could you take those 3 pics and enhance them to focus on him and to put his name on them. I am trying to get them to his family and having his name on them and the pics enhanced to focus on him would be so wonderful.

Thanks in advance, trying to upload pics here now

The first photo has Cleveland at the far right of the pic.

2nd pic and 3rd pic he is to the right of the kid in the greenshirt and his arms are crossed

Warning : a TL;DR segment brought to you by GingerKittie about Cleveland.
This kids was phenominal. Look at his huge smile, He always smiled, always was polite , cheerful and happy to help everyone. I let my kids choose their own group leaders and Cleveland was always chosen because he was kind, fair, helpful and had an intriguing sense of dignity for a child so young.

He was a joy and all of his potential (and his family) died in 2004 when his older sister's bf (Cyrus Casby) stabbed his sister to death, stabbed Cleveland mom, stabbed cleveland (on the 2nd floor)and then set the steps and house on fire to preven their escape.

Clevelands young brother was hidden in a closet and is basically a vegetable forever due to the oxygen deprivation. The killer had an infant daughter (with Cleveland's older sister) and the killer left that baby in her crib alive, knowing she would burn to death.

So these remaining pics mean a lot to me and i want them to be fixed so that they can be given to his family who has lost so much.

What a terrible, horrible story...such a sweet looking kid I can't imagine how anyone could harm a child.

I am no expert on photo editing, but I can tinker around with the first one at least...Idle, fut, Nole and the others will be around and they are better and quicker at it than I.

What a sad story, but that's awesome you're reviving it.

Here is a first pass.

Yes to both pics and what you have done with them. It always upset me that the coverage of the case included only pics of the killer.

Thank you guys so much. He was 11 when he died in Nov 2004 so I don't know if his birth year was 1993 (or less likely 1992). i would like the birth and death years to appear but I am not sure on the birth but best guess is indeed 1993.

This was truly a beautiful child. The type you look at and see the amazing adult that they will one day become. he always called me "Miss B" which still makes me smile.

ETA: His case was one that broke new ground on the determination to get justice. The killer was somehow acquitted in his first trial (post Katrina-jefferson parish). So he could not be tried for their murders again. that would be double jeopardy.

BUT the feds and other agencies CAN get involved when they feel that a case "cries out for justice". So the Federal gov't pressed charges for "arson affecting interstate commerce"( which killed 4). (Cleveland's family lived in govt subsidized housing).

So it was not double jeopardy as it was 2 different courts (parish vs Fed). The killer was retried and convicted to life in prison, no parole and is in a max prison in CO far away from his family in Texas.

Such a sad story. A wonderful young man snuffed out without a chance to grow up like any child should be able to. I worked with at risk kids for years in a foster home and this story just hit me. Thank you for sharing and may God bless you and his family. Trying a little different tact here, maybe some of it works for you.

Thank you guys so much. These are all perfect and what i needed. It turns out that Cleveland was likely cremated and has no grave site.

But there is an online site where I can set up a "virtual grave site" for his pics and for people to submit their pics and stories of him and tell his life story.

I can also share these with his family on FB.

Now when people search his name, they can hopefully find his virtual gravesite and see what a truly beautiful child he was. I can share my stories of him there and they will last forever for all to see.

Kudos to you guys. Awesome work!!! Thanks so much. It means so much to me.
