Thank you for the update. However, there is nothing I can do except not share my work. Am I willing to go to that extreme? I don't know.
I wish people would ask permission. I would likely grant it. And I am not asking for compensation. But if someone is making money from my artwork, then they should at the very least donate some of it to a good cause.

You obviously don't know the entire story so you are more than welcome to STFU

I know exactly what you mean. None of the artist who post here get paid. These images are created by fans for fans. When an unscrupulous opportunitist steals them without credit, it makes me question why I take the time to create images.
This last PP7 Heisman shirt issue has left an extremely bitter taste in mouth.
Made me mad too and it wasnt even my design.
This is the problem I am having. Some of us make money from our work but on here we post it for fans to enjoy, not for them to steal and make money or tshirts or posters of and not even give credit or ask for permission.

If you all care about people "stealing" your work, then why haven't you put a true semi-transparent watermark on your product? Heck, just post your stuff on Deviantart and there is an option for just that, along with selling your images for commission even.
ETA: just to clarify, I am not endorsing anyone from plastering your work all over various mediums claiming it for their own.

I put my logo on all my photographs, but on here I thought people wouldn't pull something as low as what has happened.

I've been meaning to respond to things in this thread... but have been too tired and too unable to figure out how to deal with it effectively.
I fundamentally agree with timdallanger on this...
I am as proud of the Peterson Heisman getting some notice as I am angry with its use via reproduction by the LSU Athletic Department. I would have been thrilled to contribute that for the cause and removed my name from it myself...
...not to mention I would've done a better job on the plaque (the engraving is terrible). By the way - Jeff's Game Day pics never cease to impress me.
Anywho... I'm hoping at this point that maybe I can get in touch with the right person in order to get one of them for myself after all the hooplah is over and done with. I don't think that's too much to ask.

Unfortunately, even those semi-transparent watermarks plastered across the whole image still aren't a good enough deterrent from a photoshopper with decent skills.
I do hate that yurintroubl's fark got swiped without giving her credit. That's pretty shitty, considering we farkers know the unwritten rule, and whoever farked out her name, probably knew it, too. Of course, they may try to say they replicated it on their own, which is just bush league. But I do love that her awesome fark is poster-worthy, and gets some Heisman attention for Peterson.
General thoughts: I started watermarking my stuff about 4 years ago when a couple of NC Tigah's farks showed up on Break.com and he got no credit. I said if it's a simple copy/paste swipe everyone will know who did mine, even if they don't know who LSUFreek is or where the fark is from. Even though it's not fail-safe from photoshopper larceny, I still think water-marking is essential for all farkers and we have a couple here and there that still don't do it.
But in my case, I find the benefits of not doing too many "still" farks is that someone can't put my gif on a t-shirt or a poster. And most of the stills I do, aren't poster-quality or should I say, composed to be a poster. I usually have too much stuff in the still fark for it ever to be a cut-out sign on Gameday. Hell, half the time, the real joke/punchline is in the background details of my farks, and not the main image. I try not to do straight-up LSU fark work that doesn't have a punchline. No matter how awesome those works can be, they are ripe for swiping.
Well, that's just my two cents. I hope yurintroubl gets a real PP7-Heisman poster out of this.

If there is any way I can help this come about, like calls or emails to the people in the athletic department that made the signs, let me know and I will be happy to help
I'm sure many others would also help.

well, i'll be damned, troubl. i can't believe that someone at LSU would poach your wonderful, creative work from here and take the effort to shop your signature from it
i'm sure sorry to see that, but i am proud that everyone on here recognizes your awesome talents and immediately identified your work when they saw it
you're awesome, girl.
