No hog gets that big. And to kill it with a sidearm is just false. You don't shoot regular hogs with a sidearm.

news linkA domesticated pig (swine) can be fattened up and released into the wild and it will morph back into a ferrel hog. The word escapes me but it is one of the crazier things in nature.

yea I do. However, the hog doesnt have the appearence of being a wild hog at all. I thought I remembered hearing that the owners of the land admitted to releasing the hog for someone to shoot and that the size was grossly exaggerated.

If I recall correctly, it was a .50 caliber handgun. Yes, it is a handgun, but that is rather large for your typical sidearm.
