2009 "Year In Farks" Review - A Fark Gallery
Posted on 12/26/09 at 11:25 am
Posted on 12/26/09 at 11:25 am
As the year comes to a close, I start to think about all the great work I've seen here...and the fact that there's no WAY I've actually seen all the great work that's been done. So I, with the support of the regular contributors here, decided to create a gallery thread so that we could get all of what WE consider our best work together in one place.
Gallery Rules: Quite simple, actually... Each farker may contribute 5(minimum)-15(maximum) of their works from 2009. They can be animated or still images. Pieces created for this or any other board/site (or even personal projects never before posted). If the artist wishes to include a couple sentences explanation - that's fine.
LET'S SEE WHAT YOU'VE GOT!

I decided a little annotation was in order.
An homage to the first big controversy of 2009. Soon thereafter overtaken by....
...the second big controversy of 2009. Mr. Phelps thanks you, A-Roid.
This was created for two reasons - 1)To honor the Penguins and their young superstar Crosby 2)To poke fun of award winning athletes' "Thank you" speeches in which they inevitably thank EVERYONE under the sun - random and relevant alike.
This was by far one of my favorite graphic designs I've ever created. For some strange reason, it was refused entry into the T-shirt design contest. Some sort of copyright nonsense...
Probably my favorite SigPic creation (from a graphic standpoint).
A generational "passing of the torch" homage following LSU's most recent CWS championship.
About as slick a Fark as I think I'll ever be capable of.
Do you know how hard it is to find an image of an African-American skydiver!?! Fortunately a tandem jump was something I could work with.
I cannot take credit for the idea - somebody else created a "Corndog on a Half-Shell" before me... I chose to recreate (IMO - upgrade) it.
So many emotional moments to choose from... I went with "iconic" representations for this thread. Here - the stoic Mount Randlemore.
Here - The mysterious Randle Lisa.
Payoda. Needs to get his force back.
My favorite contribution to the Ducthorns thread. Tried a few new techniques on this one.
Kid was cute as hell to begin with... Seemed a perfect fit.
I still can't believe I pulled this one off... My favorite "theoretical" Saints uniform concept.
ETA - 2 Images, Image explanations.

creative suites so they should get better from here on out
I decided to do a self fark. Thought it would be cool to have a picture on the team with Pistol Pete.

Fark Challenge: Chess Surrealism
Fark Challenge: Fark Fetish Vacation
The best kept secret is right here for all you fetish farkers! Tickets are now on sale for the second anniversary Fark Fetish Vacation. Sunny skies and warm ocean breezes will caress you and your fark buddies at our very private coastal resort. Never been to a fark fetish party? The sooner you get your tickets, the faster you’ll find out what it’s all about! It’s a great way to meet like-minded farkers for real-life fun, dating and…well…much more that we can tell you here…Shhhhh….That’s our little secret!
Fark Challenge: Nightmare at McDonald’s
Portrait of a frightened child: Billy Wilson, sixteen-month old son and youngest child of Robert and Glenda Wilson. Billy’s circumcision procedure was postponed in the hospital shortly after birth due to his parent’s indecision clouded by tug-of war conflicts between health and religious beliefs. Fast-forward sixteen months later as Billy has just learned of his parent’s decision to have a multi-religious circumcision ceremony to appease both sets of feuding grandparents of mixed religions. The difference being that on this day, a day not dissimilar to previous visits to McDonald’s, little Billy’s manhood is about to be openly exposed to a dysfunctional audience of well wishers and fanatics at his circumcision party. Today, Billy is traveling all the way to his appointed destination, which, contrary to little Billy’s plan, happens to be in the darkest corner of the The Fark Zone.

Reuben Randle Emotional Moments
Pool Party at the Saban’s – Part of the fun with the Fark Board is adding to an image someone posted earlier. It’s okay to add to an image, but proper fark etiquette requires you not remove or cover up someone’s work. The original fark showed Nick floating in a pool on a dick chair. Pretty funny and clever! I thought the addition of fireworks in the background was an appropriate enhancement to represent a festive July 4th celebration.
OOHI State Fan Room…Ohio State doesn’t have a very good reputation for winning football championship games or spelling. This was inspired by the picture someone took during the 2007 National Championship right after halftime when the Ohio State cheerleaders ran onto the field. The original, untouched photograph is on the wall in this image.
The Bama Twins Have a Step-Sister!
Legless Pole Dancer – You never know what you’ll find on the Fark Board! We learned that our popular Auto Babe was moonlighting as a pole dancer on weekends at LSU tailgate parties. Even more surprising was the fact none of us realized she had artificial legs! Much to my surprise, I caught this image of her, with the tailgate down, about half an hour before her tailgate performance. She didn’t mind me taking this picture…She’ll do anything for twenty bucks!
Looter Statue Fund Drive – Despite it turning into an absolute fundraising failure, I’m still very proud of the effort the Fark Board gave to raise funds for the Looter Statue. Designed to stand the test of time and future flood waters, the monument would be composed of mosaic tiles with a dazzling Raku finish. The Looter Statue was going to be constructed in front of the St. Roch Market on St. Claude Avenue in New Orleans. On the first day we had pledges from Yurintroubl, Sawfiddle and BigEasy totaling almost $100. Unfortunately, our final tally of $136 and twelve Heinekens fell way short of the $100,000 needed to make the Looter Statue a reality. I wonder if President Obama might have an interest in helping us rekindle interest in the project.
Swine Flu Preparation – While the nation was scurrying in panic mode regarding the Swine Flu, the Golden Girls quickly snapped into action and took appropriate and fashionable precautions to stay healthy for the upcoming football season.
“Please Fark my Grandma and Grandpa” - Part of the fun with the Fark Board comes from torturing newcomers who make these requests instead of posting them on the Help Board. This one got out of hand in a hurry after I posted Grandma and Grandpa posing on the cover of their first XXX film with Stormy Daniels. Yurintroubl created a classic piece in that thread. Feel free to jump in when someone makes an innocent request like this and have some fun at their expense! If the victim is good humored about it, I’ll usually give in and do what they originally requested. However, if they get pissy about me having fun with them, I’ll never give them what they want! Remember…Be careful what you ask for on the Fark Board!
Tiger Stadium Snow Scene – I love hearing the deep rumble of the LSU Zamboni echoing across Tiger Stadium in the wintertime! It’s a sure sign Christmas time is near. Happy New Year to all!
Per Yurintroubl, "Add this to yer Gallery post immediately!" ...Gotta do what Yurintroubl wants...If she ain't happy...ain't none of us gonna be happy around here!

Very nice!

I'm fairly new around here so I imagine anyone that has been following the board recently has seen my best work. Still here goes:
Drew Brees is... BATMAN
Darth Saban
Alabama Gameday announcement:
My LSU Desktop wallpaper
TCU Desktop Wallpaper with scores for my sister-in-law
And here a few non Tigerdropping related-
I made this one for my dad.
This is for a friend and strength coach, Harry Selkow. If anyone is interested in strength and conditioning, some of his writing on www.elitefts.com is quite insightful.

This is one of my first Farks and still one of my favorites "Saban vs Meyer"
"Planet of the Gumps" one of my movie theme inspired Farks
This is the source of much controversy "Tiger Attack"
these next two are part of my Rueben Randle contributions "Mickey Mouse Club"
"Ruebens Bad News"
This one wasn't quite what the thread was calling for but I thought it came out looking really good "Uncle Who Dat"
"Rock'em Sock'em Joe Pa N' Les"
""Les' Christmas Proposition"
One of my First Movie/Star Wars Farks "Les Sidious"
"Darth Brees"
Not sure if someone has done this yet or not but I think it looks good "LSU moon landing"
I don't remember if I posted this one or not, but IMO there are a bunch of redneck Cowboy fans so I conjured up "KKKowboys"
"bond...Mike bond"
This one is so bad, its good...Boise State bowl Choke Prediction"
"Where are all the White Women At"

Sadly I had purged a LOT of my Farks before you said you were going to start this thread, yurin. Here are some recent ones, though.

I look at the "2009 Year in Farks Review" as farks that's been posted throughout the year, so listed are a few of my favorites. I know, I know it's obvious for my dislike for Saban.
Trooper Taylor - Brother of the Year
Tebow's uniform for the LSU game.
The original "cock in the box".
The boy band of the SEC.
Saban in highschool.
Petrino leaving Arkansas.
Bobby you've been pimped.
The new mascot from the movie Saw.
And you thought Meyer and Tebow were tight
Working out with Kiffin.
Alabama couple of the year
Coming to a circus near you, Big Top Saban
SEC beer bong champion
Saban's new company car
Tonight on Skinamax, a Bammer's dream
