Yahoo Fantasy Football: Bidding for free agents?

I don't remember this ever being an option before. But when setting up our league I saw that you can now give a dollar figure to each team, and that each week if you want to pick up someone you have to bid on them first, and you can be beaten out by another higher bidder.

Have any of you done this before? How did it work out?

We are going from a 12 team league to a 10 team, and have always based the priority by the team with the worst ranking getting priority.

WAT? Are you talking about FAAB??

If so its works out great. We start with $200 and do it with real $$$. End of the year the $ is added to the total payout.

I absolutely love bidding for free agents. We have a $100 budget for the whole season. It adds strategy to the game and gives everyone a chance to get their guy. The most I've ever bid for a guy was like $24. Usually everyone has a lot of their budget left over, so be aggressive for really good free agent targets.
